Jazz Festival headliners announced: Willie Nelson, David Byrne coming to Rochester

Willie Nelson, David Byrne, Rodger Hodgson of Supertramp, the cocktail orchestra Pink Martini and a jazz combo featuring Rochester native Steve Gadd are the first shows announced for the 12th annual Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, which will be held June 21-29 in the downtown East End District.
One additional headliner will be announced. The five shows at Kodak Hall at the Eastman Theatre go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday:
Pink Martini, 8 p.m. June 21, Tickets are $55, $70, $85 and $105, plus service charges.
Willie Nelson and Family, 8 p.m. June 22. Tickets are $70, $85, $95 and $105, plus service charges.
David Byrne and St. Vincent, 8 p.m. June 25. Byrne, the former Talking Heads frontman, and female vocalist St. Vincent released an album together in 2011. Tickets are $70, $85, $95 and $105, plus service charges.
Rodger Hodgson of Supertramp, 8 p.m. June 26. Tickets are $70, $85, $105 and $125, plus service charges.
Pianist Bob James, saxophonist David Sanborn and drummer Steve Gadd, 8 p.m. June 27. Tickets are $40, $55, $70 and $85, plus service charges.
Tickets will be available at rochesterjazz.com, or by calling (585) 454-2060. On Friday only, tickets will also be available at the Kodak Hall Oval Lobby Box Office at the corner of Gibbs and Main streets from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The service charge for headliner tickets is $7, or $9 to have printed tickets mailed. Club passes are still available for $194 plus a $6 service charge, $8 if mailed.
The nine-day festival’s club acts and free shows will be announced March 26.
