Rochester City Ballet has been chosen to participate in Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival this weekend.

The company will perform on July 19 as part of the free Inside/Out Performance Series.

The companies that perform are carefully chosen for their artistic excellence and are an important part of the Pillow experience,” said Ella Baff, Jacob’s Pillow’s executive and artistic director, in a press release.

Dancers will perform 4Play and Bravo! Colorado, both choreographed by Jamey Leverett, RCB’s artistic director.

Jacob’s Pillow is the longest-running and one of the most prestigious dance festivals and occurs each summer in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts.

Rochester City Ballet will be offering a free open rehearsal on July 17 before dancers head to Jacob’s Pillow.
