WALL\THERAPY, a group that aims to inspire through mural art, hosted a fundraiser party at the Rochester Public Market Tuesday night.

More than 100 supporters gathered at Cure during sunset to enjoy drinks, music and live mural painting by Mr. Prvrt and St. Monci.

Art is inspiration,” said Randy Morgenstern, of Rochester. “It really sets the tone for Rochester being a go to destination.”

The organization announced this year’s roster of 23 local and international artists, who will revitalize the South Wedge and the El Camino trail during the second annual Wall Therapy week July 19 through July 28. Founder Dr. Ian Wilson said both areas will be painted simultaneously and the artists will switch locations mid-week.

Co-curator Erich Lehman believes this project can put Rochester back on the map in a positive way.

I love this city, but it has a self-image problem,” said Lehman. “It doesn’t realize the shining flower it can be.”
