Greentopia this year will add an indie craft fair, a percussion event at High Falls and a chef series.

The event, from Sept. 10 to 15, starts with a documentary film festival and a business Futures Summit featuring programs on sustainable practices, economic development and also public art and food activism. Keynote speaker is author and social activist James Howard Kuntsler.

The films in the documentary series range from Pandora’s Promise, which is pro-nuclear energy, to Dear Governor Cuomo, which is anti-fracking.

The Ecofest on Sept. 14 and 15 will add the indie craft fair, adding to its focus on sustainable fashion with a show featuring clothing made from recycled materials, plus an art show featuring Rochester Institute of Technology students and alumni. The organization also will add a chef series and expand its music portion of the festival.

More than 66 percussionists on Sept. 15 will play John Luther Adams’ Inuksuit, an outdoor music piece that was inspired by Alaska. Also new will be a concert on Sept. 14 by Greater Rochester Choral Consortium members.
