Rochester’s Gene Cornish, re-united with The Rascals, returns to his home town with the band for Once Upon a Dream Starring The Rascals.

The 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 show at the Auditorium Theatre features all four Rascals — Cornish, Felix Cavalieri, Eddie Brigati and Dino Danelli — telling the story of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band.

It’s an unusual blend of rock concert and documentary, including video of actors playing key moments in the band’s career, band interviews and archival footage, all written and directed by Steven Van Zandt, guitarist for Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, and a longtime fan of The Rascals. The band plays 28 Rascals songs during the show.

Tickets (ranging from $42.50 to $78) go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at ticketmaster.com, (800) 745-3000 and during business hours at the box office, 885 E. Main St.
