Christkindl Market kicks off Festival of Trees this weekend

The Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum, 295 N. Main St., Canandaigua, each year hosts the Festival of Trees and decks out the historic 1816 mansion for Christmas. Many of the decorations are available for silent auction.
The festival opens Friday (and runs through Dec. 8) with the Canandaigua Christkindl Market, a three-day, European-inspired juried holiday craft show with high-end creations. Also opening this week is Of the Ordinary at Visual Studies Workshop, 31 Prince St. The exhibit, with an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, will be on display through Dec. 14 and features the personal pictures of Adam Broomberg & Oliver Chanarin, Alyse Emdur, Ron Jude, Jason Lazarus, Christian Patterson and Ofer Wolberger.
