RPO, other groups take on holiday fare

It will be reminiscent of Christopher Seaman this week during the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra concerts as guest conductor James Feddeck, assistant conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra, takes to the harpsicord as well for the program that includes Bach’s “Magnificat” and “Suite No. 3,” Respighi’s “Ancient Airs and Dances: Suite No. 1” and Trittico botticelliano: Adoration of the Magi. The Eastman Chorale and vocal soloists also will join the orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Saturday at Eastman Theatre, 60 Gibbs St. Tickets are $15 to $92; $10 for students. • If you want a different adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Ad Hoc is bringing some comedy to the classic with narration and other extras at 7 p.m. Saturday at The Harley School, 1981 Clover St., Brighton. Tickets are $10; free to those 13 and younger. Go to adhoc-music.org.
