In case you haven’t heard, an ALF movie is in the works.

The ’80s sitcom ran for four seasons, and though I don’t think it holds up very well, some diehard fans are psyched to see the cat-eating alien puppet back on the scene.

One such person is comedian Chris Gethard, who claims to be a huge ALF fanatic — and not in an ironic way.

If you’ve ever felt like an outcast, if you’ve ever felt like you don’t fit in, you should watch ALF a little more seriously, man,” he says. “That show gets it.”

And here’s the latest video, in which Gethard and comedian Bobby Moynihan brainstorm ideas for the movie’s plot. (Nice sweatshirt, Bobby!) They involve a time machine and a cameo by President Obama:

Stay tuned for ALF-themed updates. Gethard promises a “high-budget audition video” is coming soon.
