Spider-senses tingling?

You must have sensed producers of the next Spider-Man movie in town. They were meeting with Rochester city officials Monday and “scoping out the area,” said Gary Walker, the city’s communication director.

Walker said they are currently working on ways to create alternate traffic routes during the filming. Other details, he said, would be announced later.

In the meantime, if you see yourself on the big screen, albeit as a movie extra or as a production assistant for a movie, then check out Rochester/Finger Lakes Film & Video Office’s Facebook page for the contact information.

The notice doesn’t say what movie it’s for — just that it’s for an upcoming movie being filmed in Rochester.

Because of confidentiality agreements, Nora Brown, Executive Director with Rochester/Finger Lakes Film & Video Office, can’t reveal what the movie is, however, the only announcement made recently about a movie being filmed in Rochester was made early last month by the very same people who said a portion of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be filmed in Rochester this year.
