LAS VEGAS — No one keeps it in the family like the cast of Fast & Furious.

The stars of the franchise, including Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, took the stage Tuesday at CinemaCon to not only hawk Fast & Furious 6, out May 24, but also to announce a seventh installment.

Fast & Furious 7 will hit screens July 11, 2014, Diesel told a cheering crowd of theater owners before unveiling footage from next month’s film.

The next one is probably going to be the biggest one of them all,” Diesel says. While he didn’t tip his hand about further installments, Diesel, a producer on F&F 6, says that filmmakers think “two or three movies down the road,” hinting at more to come.

The cast also took digs at one another. F&F veteran Tyrese Gibson says that shooting the petrol-happy series takes on the feel of a family reunion.

I’d like to say the jokes were all written out,” he says. “But a lot of it is us reacting to each other.”

On a day when the muscular Diesel “shows up with his pecs all out, we might make a joke about cleavage,” he says.

Or, when Walker and Gibson share a scene, the conversation inevitably drifts to body odor, Gibson says.

Paul doesn’t like to wear deodorant, so when he gets in the car, you’re just glad the fan is blowing things to the back.”

The crowd erupted. Walker, also laughing, offered Gibson a not-so-polite gesture on the stage.
