Foxx and DeHaan's Spidey foes arrive on social media

New Spider-Man villains are coming alive via social media.
On Sunday, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb released via Twitter the first official still of Jamie Foxx from the movie as Max Dillon, aka electric supervillain Electro. “Day 52. My name is Max,” Webb tweeted.
A leaked set photo of Fox looking blue and transformed hit the Internet on Tuesday, but the new picture shows him more normal, nerdy and seemingly interested in who this Spider-Man kid (played by Andrew Garfield) really is.
The cinematic Electro looks to take more of a design influence from the recent Ultimate Spider-Man version, a more realistic take than the bad guy’s first appearance in 1964 that featured a dayglo mask with electric bolts.
And speaking of baddies, actor Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) also tweeted Sunday a still of him as Harry Osborn, best friend and potential foe, if you go by comic-book lore of Spider-Man’s alter ego, Peter Parker. DeHaan added: “Ladies & Gentlemen, FanBoys & FanGirls of all ages: I give you The #Amazing Harry Osborn.”
Harry is the son of billionaire industrialist Norman Osborn, played in the new movie by Chris Cooper. Time will tell if one of them becomes the evil Green Goblin.
The lone visual holdout of the new Spidey baddies from the movie (which opens May 2, 2014): Paul Giamatti as the big and bruising Rhino.
