The Amazing Spider-Man franchise is moving forward in leaps in bounds.

Sony’s film studio announced Monday it has OK’ed the third and fourth editions of the webbed franchise, and that they will hit theaters on June 10, 2016 and May 4, 2018.

Jeff Blake, chairman of worldwide marketing and distribution for Sony, said in a statement: “Spider-Man is our most important, most successful, and most beloved franchise, so we’re thrilled that we are in a position to lock in these prime release dates over the next five years.”

The decision means that franchise centerpiece Andrew Garfield could be a very busy man for the next half-decade or so. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 already is shooting in New York with Garfield playing the webslinger under the direction of Marc Webb.

It will be in theaters May 2, 2014.

The Amazing Spider-Man opened a year ago and took in more than $750 million in worldwide box office.
