We have a smaller crop of flicks this week, but I spy a few good ones:

Release o’ the week: 56 Up. I’m very eager to see the latest installment in Michael Apted’s documentary series that has followed a group of people every seven years since they were 7 years old.

- Venus and Serena. The astounding sisters are profiled in this noteworthy doc.

- North & South. A young ‘n’ handsome Patrick Stewart (with hair) stars in this 1975 miniseries.

- The House I Live In. This documentary examines the U.S. war on drugs and how it has affected America’s poor and minority communities.

Also out: 6 Souls, The Girl, Inescapable, Last Resort: The Complete Series, Bob Saget: That’s What I’m Talking About, Tai Chi Hero
