Former Hulk Lou Ferrigno dons a new hero costume

Anyone who has been to Comic-Con a few times knows the convention experience isn’t complete without a Lou Ferrigno sighting.
For years the former Incredible Hulk star has been a staple at fan gatherings, where he’ll gladly chat or autograph a photo (for a price, of course). Considering his popularity at these events, it makes sense that he can now be seen in a short film about what else? a superhero.
In The Liberator, Ferrigno plays a “disgraced, washed-up ex-superhero attempting to get his life back on the rails.” The supporting cast includes more con faves, like Star Trek vet Michael Dorn and Peta Wilson (La Femme Nikita). Pop Candy favorite Ed Asner even appears!
Here’s a trailer for the short, which has screened at several conventions and festivals:
It sounds like it may screen in San Diego this week, so check it out if you’ll be there. In August a two-issue comic book series from Bluewater will continue the Liberator storyline.
