Knoxville: 'Grandpa' can very dangerous (trailer)

Being 86-year-old Irving Zisman can be as dangerous to Johnny Knoxville as his infamous stunts in Jackass.
As the hilarious first trailer for Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa (opening Oct. 25) shows, getting old hurts…really bad.
Knoxville worked with young Jackson Nicoll, who plays grandson Billy in the road trip story. One stunt featured in the trailer clip has Knoxville flying through the glass window of a store from a sidewalk kid’s ride. No stunt double was used. That is Knoxville flying through the glass.
“That was pretty hairy,” Knoxville tells USA TODAY.
“I have to sit down in my seat (on the ride), because if I raise up in my seat a few inches then my head is going to hit the metal bar in the (store) window. And that cannot be good,” Knoxville adds. “So I had to really focus on staying down. And I’m really uncoordinated and I usually screw things up.”
But the footage and the expressions on the shocked bystanders face makes it all worth it.
This is not to mention the pranks pulled on real unsuspecting people at a funeral, a wedding and a young girls’ beauty pageant (“that alone is worth the price of admission,” says Knoxville). Knoxville even had a gun pulled on him by golfers on a Columbus, Ohio, golf course after Zisman riled them up as the groundskeeper-from-hell.
“It might get hot, but we always hug it out in the end, and they are good…99 percent of the time,” says Knoxville.
