PETA to 'Anchorman 2': Lose the SeaWorld dolphins

Will Ferrell’s pompous Anchorman Ron Burgundy has offended again.
This time the Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues character has attracted the ire of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
The group has called for all the scenes shot at San Diego’s SeaWorld involving dolphins to be removed from the movie, which is due out December 20.
“The constant deprivation that marine mammals face at SeaWorld is suited to a horror film, not a comedy,” says PETA Foundation Director of Captive Animal Law Enforcement Delcianna Winders in a statement released Monday. “PETA is calling on the creators of Anchorman to…leave all SeaWorld scenes on the cutting-room floor, where they belong.”
Ferrell’s jazz-flute-playing Burgundy character is known for his catch-phrase (“Stay classy San Diego”) and his outdated views on women in the workplace, as seen in 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
His return in the sequel features Burgundy washed up from his anchor job and resorting to working as an announcer at SeaWorld.
The dolphins were shown briefly in a trailer for the film.
