LOS ANGELES — Alice Eve rocked onto the carpet at the Star Trek Into Darkness DVD launch on Tuesday night.

Eve, who played the beautiful science officer Dr. Carol Marcus in the J.J. Abrams-directed film, was a stunning standout in her revealing Catherine Deane dress, Christian Louboutin heels and her magenta-colored lips.

I guess in the end you have to spice things up,” said Eve from the event’s white carpet.

Of her wildly-colored lips, she said it just made sense to go futuristic on the white-colored carpet.

And I just have a tube of magenta lying around for Star Trek premieres,” she said. “This is a very unique occasion.”

Speaking before the event at the California Space and Science Center, Eve said she would consider taking a voyage on the space shuttle Endeavour, which is permanently exhibited at the museum.

I didn’t know it was an option, but now that you’ve put it to me as I’m in my magenta-lipped, futuristic outfit I might just ride that space shuttle,” said Eve.

Alas, she did not board Endeavour. Eve spent most of the evening in deep conversation with co-star Simon Pegg and Abrams.
