Wondering what the heck you should watch this week? Here are a few new options:

Release o’ the week: Wild Style. A 30th anniversary edition of Charlie Ahearn’s landmark 1983 hip-hop film arrives today. Pioneers Fab 5 Freddy, Grandmaster Flash, the Rock Steady Crew and Cold Crush Brothers are among the stars of this scripted fan favorite, which includes commentary and other extras.

- The Heat. As I mentioned earlier, the latest from director Paul Feig is more than your typical buddy cop movie.

- Pacific Rim. Guillermo del Toro assaults our senses with this high-impact robotic adventure.

- Defiance: Season One. Syfy’s immersive, futuristic drama returns for a second season next year.

- Oliver Stone’s Untold History of the United States. The director’s series examines events from the 20th century that had a major impact on this country.

- Superheroes: A Never-Ending Battle. Hosed by Liev Schreiber, the documentary looks at the history of comic-book superheroes.
