The 2014 Slamdance Festival is coming soon, and some of its notable alumni are getting the word out.

A new trailer collection celebrating 20 years of the indie festival launches today and will be premiered exclusively by USA TODAY. The debut trailer stars director Matt Johnson, whose film The Dirties won best narrative feature and the Spirit of Slamdance honor at the 2013 fest.

This year’s event takes place Jan. 17-23 in Park City, Utah, across town from the Sundance Film Festival.

Other trailers debuting the next four Tuesdays feature Slamdance alumni Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity), Marc Forster (World War Z), Penelope Spheeris (The Decline of Western Civilization) and Anthony and Joe Russo (the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier).
