Do you happen to know how many moons Saturn has? Or the year the zipper was invented? There is one place where such useless information can finally shine trivia nights at local bars. We’ve compiled a list of places where you can let out your inner nerd and possibly win a prize in the process.
The Old Toad
1 One trivia night per week won’t do for this authentic British pub, which holds trivia nights on Mondays and Jeopardy nights on Sundays. It’s free to play on Mondays, when the prizes include a six-pack of beer or a bottle of wine; on Sundays, it’s $5 per team (of two to four players) to enter, and cash prizes are awarded. The fun starts at 9 p.m. on Sundays and 9:30 p.m. on Mondays.
Location: 277 Alexander St.

2 The bar area fills up quickly on Tuesday nights at Jeremiah’s, thanks to trivia night. The game is played on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited, so you might want to show up before the game gets started at 8 p.m. Prizes usually include Jeremiah’s gift cards. Genny 12 Horse pitchers are always $7 at the bar.
Location: 1104 Monroe Ave.
