Kick off January by dancing to some funk: 10-piece horn band Prime Time Funk is ready to blow the roof off the party at Taylor’s Nightclub, 3300 Monroe Ave., Pittsford, starting at 9 p.m. Friday. Admission is $5.

Prime Time Funk’s current CD, Hear and Now, contains 10 tracks and is dedicated to the late PTF bassist and co-founder, Ralph Ortiz.
