Did you go to college? I went to MCC for a year. I take classes on an off when I can, working on my business degree.

How did you get into bartending? I applied for a bartending job randomly one time — thought it looked like a lot of fun! Also was a great way to meet new people. Plus, I brew beer once in a while, so the bar scene was kind of a natural environment.

How long have you been at your bar? Currently been at Blu since we opened, going on four months now.

Assuming you frequent your bar, where would you go for drinks if the place shut down? Probably Acme on Monroe Ave. (It’s) very laid back and always has a great beer selection.

What’s the craziest thing that you’ve seen at your bar? I would say watching two people at a bar sleeping, leaned against one another for about a good hour or so, then someone pouring a beer on both people.

What’s your least favorite drink to pour? I would have to say a White Russian; nothing against it, but just not a big fan of milk and alcohol.

What drink do you pour the most? I would have to say Stella or a Sam Adams seasonal. The mixed drink (I make the most) would have to be our Blu Martini — very popular here.

How much should I be tipping and why? The way I see it with tipping … it’s all up to the person bartending and what experience they gave to (the customer) that they should base the tip off of.

Is there a song on the jukebox or radio that you hate? I’m pretty much into all music, but I would have to say anything with Justin Bieber. Sorry, ladies.

What’s the quickest way to get a bartender to hate me? Screaming “Hey you!” over and over again is usually a big way to annoy any bartender.

What’s the quickest way to get great service? Being friendly with your bartender is always a good way to start, then that bartender will always make sure you have great service!

Can you share any hangover cures? The more clear alcohol you drink, the better the chance that you will not have as bad of a hangover the next day. Or eat a nice, greasy breakfast.

Do you have a full-time or other job? I work for CooperVision full time during the day. I work with some great people at both jobs, so it makes them enjoyable. Plus, I volunteer coach wrestling in the winter at Rush-Henrietta, so I keep a busy schedule.

What do you love best about your job? Being able to be myself, have fun and meet new people; I like to joke around and have fun while getting the job done!
