Did you go to college?

Yes. Started at MCC and then transferred to The College at Brockport, where I am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in business administration. I plan to continue on with an MBA program following Brockport.

How did you get into bartending?

I wanted a job with flexible hours so that I could go back to school full-time.

How long have you been at your bar?

Two years.

Assuming you frequent your bar, where would you go for drinks if the place shut down?

I’m a low-key bar kind of girl. I also like to stay close to home. I frequent Overtime, Charlotte Tavern and everywhere else in between.

What’s the craziest thing that you’ve seen at your bar?

Oh my. We’ve got plenty of great stories. Come visit me; I promise you’ll be entertained.

What’s your least favorite drink to pour and why?

Bloody Mary’s at night. I like to make a good Bloody, but not when it’s busy.

What drink do you pour the most?

Labatt Blue Light draft, we’ve got a lot of beer drinkers. For mixed drinks, it’s vodka sodas, Jack and Cokes and long islands.

How much should I be tipping?

A dollar per drink is pretty standard. If you buy a round, a little more is appreciated.

Is there a song on the jukebox or radio that you hate?

I’m pretty much open to anything — once. Repeating the same song continuously throughout my shift, and it gets annoying. I love when people play tunes. Remember, I’m trying to jam too! But I’m sober and notice the repetition.

What’s the quickest way to get a bartender to hate me?

Yelling “Can you get this in?” while waving Quick Draw tickets.

What’s the quickest way to get great service?

Having money out and knowing what you want to drink. A friendly smile and attitude helps too.

What’s the worst pickup line or thing you’ve overheard at the bar?

The worst? They’re all the worst. Just be yourself.

Can you share any hangover cures?

Hair of the dog. You’ll hear me saying, “I need some of that dog hair.” If you are headed to work, then it’s a big bottle of water and something yummy with too many calories.

Do you have a full-time or other job?

I’m a full-time student.

What do you love best about your job?

My customers and co-workers. I love them both! Having great customers and people to work with makes it feel like it’s not even work. I’m so lucky to be able to hang with such fun people and get paid for it.
