Scion’s Bonzai summer rock tour, featuring 10 Years, Crash Kings, Diamond Youth, The Drop Kick Murphys, Family of the Year, IAmDynamite, Panic at the Disco, Pepper, Reel Big Fish and Sick Puppies, plays both inside and outdoor stages Saturday at the Main Street Armory, 900 E. Wale, the rapper from Washington, D.C., has a 7:30 p.m. Aug. 31 show. The Gifted, his soulful album released this summer, offers plenty of guns, pop culture and guests, including Cee Lo Green, Lyfe Jennings, Rihanna and even Jerry Seinfeld, with whom Wale has a minor obsession. Singer-songwriter and innovative guitarist Keller Williams plays 8 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Historic German House Theater, 315 Gregory St. Williams uses a looping system of electronics to back himself during the performance. Sacred Steel star Robert Randolph has a 9 p.m. Oct. 5 date at Water Street Music Hall, 204 N. Water St. The pedal steel-driven music is a blend of gospel, rock, jazz and soul.
