Fashion Week of Rochester is just two weeks away. This year, party-goers will be greeted with visits from two celebrities whose claim to fame hails from the 1980s: Tommy Lee of heavy metal band Mötley Crüe and rapper Doug E. Fresh.

Refashioning Rochester” is the theme of this year’s Fashion Week, which runs from Oct. 16 to 20.

Organizers hope to raise $150,000 for the Center for Youth during the five-day event.

Doug E. Fresh will emcee at The Factory at Russell Street on Oct. 17. The manufacturing plant located at 33 Russell Street has been refashioned for a runway show with an urban theme.

Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra concertmaster Juliana Athayde and the Strings of Success will perform at the family-themed runway show on Oct. 18 at Third Presbyterian Church, 4 Meigs St.

Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee will be the guest deejay Oct. 19 at the Temple Building, 50 Liberty Pole Way. Lee’s visit is courtesy of Greg Polisseni’s Artistix, which will be previewing a new line of jeans at the show.

Tickets for the runway shows start at $25 and are available at Wegmans. The event also features a Switch and Swap clothing swap at the Memorial Art Gallery on Oct. 16 and a boutique crawl on Oct. 20.
